Transition
Change is a normal part of life and can provide opportunities for children to develop life skills and resilience.
Whether a child is starting our school, moving class or stage, or moving to high school, we believe that transition needs to be carefully managed.
If a child struggles with transition it can have a negative impact on their well-being and academic achievement. It is acknowledged that some points of transition e.g. EYFS to KS1, KS1 to KS2 and KS2 to KS3, can be more difficult, so the school endeavors to arrange a number of measures to ensure this is as smooth as possible.
We aim to:
Promote the effective transition of children at the start of each new setting and at each point
Promote well-being in children (Prevent and alleviate stress)
Ensure continuity in teaching and learning
Provide appropriate advice and guidance
At Christleton Primary School we carefully consider and plan for transitions to ensure that our children are prepared, confident, secure and happy at each stage in their educational journey.
