Context for Learning
Our theme for Autumn term is 'Where My Feet Take Me'.
English
We will be enjoying texts under the theme of 'Where My Feet Take Me' such as 'Lost and Found' and 'Nibbles'. We will be focusing on:
Combining words to make sentences
Leave spaces between words
Begin to use capital letters and full stops
History and Geography
Under the theme of 'Where My Feet Take Me, we will be focusing on 'What is it Like Here?' in Geography and 'What Was Shopping Like?' in History. We will be beginning to look at maps and symbols and changes from living memory through recognising differences in artefacts and photos. We will also be going on a local walk around the area to identify different shops from the past and learn about local history. Please see further information below.
Science
In Science, we will be looking at 'Animals Including Humans'. We will be identifying different types of animals and learning about growth and change. We will also be using our working scientifically skills to observe and classify.
Maths
In Maths we are looking at place value. We will be focusing on number formation and numbers to 30.

Supporting at Home
We know that the best possible learning experience a child can have is when school and home work together to build on and develop existing skills. We appreciate the amount of time parents give to supporting their children's learning and hope that the documents below help you to help your child.
Useful Documents
The documents below will be updated to provide you with current information about the learning taking place in class. There may also be additional resources to support you and your child.
