Parent Questionnaire Feedback
As a school we place considerable value upon understanding how our children feel about their school, but also how our parents perceive their child's enjoyment, progress and attainment, as well as the opportunities we provide.
We send out a variety of questionnaires during each academic year.
This page displays the results of our whole school parent questionnaire carried out in April 2024.
78 people completed this questionnaire meaning each response is worth 1.3%
This feedback will contribute to our self-evaluation and assist us in making the school the best it can be.

Strengths you identified
Passionate, inclusive, motivated
Be the best you can be. That encapsulates it all nicely.
Good facilities (forest school, field, play equipment) We have found *** ***** to be a good first teacher for *****, he has settled well after initially finding the transition from nursery difficult. Having a year 6 buddy helped too. S4YC staff are always great and ****** enjoys going
Children make great progress
A nurturing supportive environment allowing children to progress in their learning, fantastic staff who know the students so well and amazing opportunities provided for students in lessons inside and outside of the classroom.
General education, exposure to differing backgrounds and cultures - and good teacher-parent communication
No 1 the teaching staff, no 2 the parenting and wider community support, no 3 the facilities and extracurricular offerings
Strong leadership, sense of community and happy children.
The community spirit, the strong and valuable staff including teaching and non teaching staff. ***** is amazing with the children. The amount of trips and extra curricular activities available. Also my child had ******* ***** and they are taken into account eg you let us know about chicken pox outbreaks and flu vaccinations but also don't make a big deal of ****** ***** condition. She is treated the same as everyone else apart from her having an odd blood test. ***** does not feel self conscious at all about **** **** etc and is quite proud of the ******** she competes in.
My child has made a fantastic start to school. I was impressed with the openness and passion of the headteacher when showing us around the school and the joined up thinking between the leadership (head and deputy) and the reception staff on the welcome evening. Thought was given to how my child started school and ensuring that they were happy.
Communication is very good. We get regular updates on Seesaw and Twitter as well as the newsletter each other week. The date list is really helpful
Good sense of community Great teachers Great contact with parents
Inclusivity. My child has dyslexia and has real difficulties with literacy, and despite this he has never expressed feelings of feeling "different" from his peers. Which as a parent is very reassuring, he loves going to school. Also, support and understanding my child through a parental separation, discussing different family dynamics was very helpful during a difficult time.
**** ***** is a real inspiration to my child and they really enjoyed the trip to Stockport and the visit from the author.

Following the closure of the questionnaire the school collates the results.
These results are then discussed by the senior leadership team (SLT), presented to the school governors and shared with the staff.
The findings of the questionnaire form part of the schools self-evaluation, which is an on-going process, and help to identify strengths and areas we may wish to change, develop or improve.
A good example of this is how the school has shared its key date sheets at the start of the year for the past couple of years. This was introduced, on the back of a previous parent questionnaire, to ensure that parents had as much notice as possible for upcoming events.
